Antiques Road Trip star Natasha Raskin Sharp’s incredibly private life off-screen

Scottish presenter Natasha Raskin Sharp is a beloved figure on our TV screens, having established herself as a firm fan-favourite art and antiques expert on shows such as Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip.

Until December, Natasha also hosted a programme on BBC Radio Scotland, a role she had held since 2016, before it was cancelled at the end of last year.

Now returning to our screens on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip alongside auctioneers Paul Laidlaw and Raj Bisram, we’re taking a closer look at the presenter’s life off-screen with her TV producer husband and their daughter.

Who is Natasha Raskin Sharp’s husband?

Natasha, 39, has been married to her husband, Joe Sharp, for almost a decade. The couple tied the knot in a private Scottish ceremony in 2016 after meeting behind the scenes on Antiques Road Trip, where Joe worked as a producer and director. He is also known for his work on The Great Hotel Escape and The Big Painting Challenge.

Although the pair keep their relationship largely out of the spotlight, Natasha has shared small glimpses into their life together over the years, including how they like to spend their downtime.

Speaking to the BBC, she said: “My partner and I are guilty of eating out too much – Glasgow has so many great restaurants. Too much of my spare time is spent eating delicious food and not enough time is spent working it off in the gym.”

Meet Natasha and Joe’s daughter

Natasha and Joe share one daughter, Jean, whom they welcomed in January 2024. The TV presenter occasionally shares snapshots of her on Instagram, always protecting her identity by covering her face with emojis. In one post, she wrote: “We’ve had a lovely day, Jean and I, and I’m looking forward to a lovely night…10pm till midnight on @bbcradioscot. Find me on @bbcsounds x”

Although they have never publicly confirmed it, Natasha and Joe are believed to live in Glasgow, where Natasha grew up with her parents, Barbara and Philip Raskin.

Meet Natasha Raskin Sharp’s famous father

Before finding fame in her own right, Natasha was inspired by her Scottish artist father to pursue a career in the art world. In an interview with the BBC, she explained: “I was gently nudged in the direction of the antiques trade and auction houses by my dad, who thought that I’d be well-suited to the environment. Although I’d never normally admit it, he was absolutely right!”

Before becoming an artist, Philip also co-ran a restaurant with Natasha’s mother for 20 years. Speaking exclusively to easynewcastleescorts.co.uk, Natasha revealed that she had once assumed she would follow in their footsteps.

“My parents were restaurateurs for 20 years and I just assumed that I would go on to either take the helm at their restaurant or to do something in the hospitality industry myself,” she said. “But when I was about 15… my parents decided to give up their restaurant.”

She added: “Had it not been for my dad, I wouldn’t have known that you could do such exciting things or sell contemporary art at auction which I continue to do to this day. So I have a lot to thank him for and remember very, very clearly [it was] a genuine milestone moment.”

Celebrity Antiques Road Trip airs on BBC One at 4.30pm on Monday 2 March.
